Agreement signed between Jifmar Offshore Services…

Through this MoU, JIFMAR OFFSHORE SERVICES and DOKAI MARINE together with their witness Renaud Muselier have decided to formalize talks started several months ago and move forward in their common will to bring DP multicat type vessels to the Japanese promising market.

Both companies being shipowners, they will be able to provide reliable and high-quality service to the developers addressing the Japanese and Far East Asian renewables market. This MoU will allow them to engage in joint marketing and afterwards to the relocation of some DP eurocarriers in Japan.

For JIFMAR, this new partnership will open a new page in the history of the company. After, the opening of companies in the US, in Congo in the past years and in Gabon last year, the French company will be able to deliver services in a new dynamic region and expands its range of services to the offshore wind industry. “This new partnership with Dokai Marine is a natural step forward for us. Since our creation in 2005, we had the will to accompany our clients wherever the winds of offshore energy bring them. Teaming up with DOKAI, we will also enable us to bring to our European clients all the experience of this highly respected company” says Foad Zahedi, Co-Founder of JIFMAR.

Through this partnership, DOKAI will be in a position to provide a new range of services to its historical clients. Established since 1948, the company from Tokyo operates harbor and ocean going tugs in Japan and in the Far East region. «The company will bring to the team its extended knowledge of the conditions and markets in the region. By adding to its fleet DP workboats vessels, DOKAI will be in a position to address works on the very near shore as well as subsea operations.» says Chairman and CEO of DOKAI.

The aim of this alliance is to become the first workboat operator in the region and increase the use of these units in construction, operation and maintenance of offshore windfarms. To reach this ambitious objective the two companies will continue strengthening their cooperation over the next months.
