CANOPEE: THE SAILING CARGO VESSEL TAKES SHAPE

At the Partner Stoczina shipyard in Szczecin – North of Poland, the Conopee vessel takes shape and is becoming reality.

The first large sailing vessel for the merchant navy is due to be launched in the spring for immediate delivery on behalf of ArianeGroup to the service of the Ariane 6 rocket.

Workers bustle around the hull and inside the ship.

Regarding the hull, almost finished, but still surrounded by scaffolding, only two elements remain at the rear as well as the gangway to be installed.

Men are active in every nook and cranny of the vessel; welding, wiring, piping, installation of windows, painting …

Although there is still a lot to do, the Canopy is already looking good. 

The ship that will transport the future Ariane 6 between Europe and Guyana is more than half completed.

At the same time, end of December, the transportation of the first stages of the first Ariane 6 rockets as started.

Alizés has chartered Eastern Rock vessel waiting for delivery of Canopée

The chartered vessel has loaded rocket stages in Le Havre and Bremen and is now sailing en route to Kourou.
