SEALINE REPAIR

Work performed

Following a heavy storm at the end of January, our diver team discovered that one section of the import pipeline of Port La Nouvelle’s Oil Terminal was squeezed. Visibility on site was poor and the divers could only give a « touch » feedback, without proper view of the problem.

Jifmar decided to mobilize its ROV Falcon with an ARIS sonar, allowing a complete view of the squeezed pipe.

The client asked then to proceed with a replacement of the damaged section, which was performed in less than 5 days using our Alexandre Z multipurpose vessel & diver.

A pressure test has been realized after a repair, showing it was satisfactory. It proved the capability & reactivity of Jifmar to solve this sort of issue and showed a wide range of tools available in-house.
